ABOUT US
The idea for Mesa was born in 2017; inspired by travelling and the concept of sharing plates in a restaurant.
After a newspaper article in the Nottingham Post announcing a shared plates restaurant, in which is now 31K, life took a few different turns before revisiting the idea in 2022. Finding a head chef who wanted a career change into their first culinary job, as well as a front and back of house team with passion and drive. Mesa opened on the 2022.
Since then the teams have changed and evolved, with the original head chef moving on and in their place Brad Filkins. Having been a private chef for many years and working in restaurants he has fine tuned Mesa and brings inspiring and exciting new seasonal menus. The concept has stayed the same whilst faces have changed.
Mesa has been going from strength to strength, welcoming record numbers and building on our regulars customer base. We take pride in continuing to be seen as a regular, east going restaurant which is suited to any occasion. Over the years Mesa has hosted wedding parties, birthdays, graduations as well as lending the space to many local businesses hosting their own pop ups.
Cooking over fire has always been an important element we have pushed, as well as having no set definition of flavour; taking inspiration and mixing fusions instead.
Seasonal menus, local craft beers and interesting wine are were we hope to continue striving in.
